Meet Arianna
Arianna is a lively almost 10-year old with a bold personality. She takes on responsibility with ease and handles many tasks regularly. She is a highly motivated, driven, little girl. Currently, she is on the In-house gymnastics team at the Old-Town Orono YMCA, and has practice four hours a week. In addition to that, she has started band this year, with an interest in flute. She helps around the house with chores like laundry and dishes as well as keeping her room clean (for the most part...she is pretty busy.) She has a big heart and is always a good friend to others, and will stick up for someone if she sees them being mistreated or bullied. She can be shy at first, but once she opens up she is a good person to have on your team. She is very smart and studies very hard. I never have to remind her to do her homework or her reading, as it is worked into her responsibility chart and she stays on point with it. I am very proud of the young lady she is becoming, and I know that the Veazie Community School has embraced her with open arms and been very welcoming and accommodating to make sure all of her needs have been met this far. She has had great things to say about her new friends and her new teachers and so far she has transitioned very well. I see a bright future for her on the path that she is on. :)
Meet Ava
Ava and her family just moved from here from Cincinnati, Ohio. She is the middle child in her family. She has an older sister in 6th grade and younger brother in 2nd grade that also attend VCS. Ava loves playing soccer and is currently playing on the Bronco travel soccer team. She likes reading non-fiction books about animals... her favorite animal is a PANDA! When she grows up, she says she wants to be a veterinarian because she loves animals so much. At home, she has a cat named Princess and a puppy named Lola. She also likes riding her bike and scooter while it's nice outside and playing her electronics when she's inside. Ava is so excited to be here and is enjoying all of her new friends at VCS! Thanks for making her feel so welcome!
